I love face masks, they are life’s little delights. Whenever I need a little pick me up (about three times a week), I put on a face mask and instantly feel better and so does my face. I wanted to share my two current favorite go-to products.
Caolion’s Pore – Original Pack
Caolion is a Korean brand. I think Koreans have one of the most beautiful skins and have recently begun incorporating a few Korean products into my skin care routine. This clay mask was one of the first items I added after discovering it on Michelle Phan’s YouTube video.
It comes with a little “spoon” so you never contaminate the product in the jar. I absolutely LOVE the way this mask feels on my skin both while applying the product and after rinsing it off. It’s suppose to reduce the size of your pores and I really do notice a visible difference on my face since using it.
After applying it all over my face, I leave it on for 15-20 minutes to let the mask set onto my skin before using a wet muslin cloth to wipe off the product. Muslin cloths are the newest addition to my skin care routine and I love the way my face feels since using these to rinse off as opposed to direct water with my bare hands. Once all the product is off, I splash some cold water on my face and pat it dry.
This clay is meant to be refrigerated, thus, providing a nice cooling sensation when applied. I use this product about once a week. It’s on the moderate price range. I have the 100g container and it cost $35. However, I’ve been using it for a few months and its still 3/4 full! Well worth the money. You can purchase it online at Peach and Lily.
Lush Mask of Magnaminity
One of my all time favorite brands has been the British brand, Lush. I love that everything is handmade with fresh ingredients and that the company is so green conscious! I’ve used several different products of theirs and can’t recall a single time that I was disappointed. I hope to do more Lush product reviews in the future but for now, let’s focus on this very pretty mask.

Although a mask, it is gentle enough to be used regularly and I use it about 3 times a week. It has china clay and fresh peppermint, the latter, upon applying to your face activates a tingling sensation that is incredibly calming. After massaging it onto my face, I leave it on for about 5-10 minutes and then use muslin cloth to wipe away. Once I’ve wiped the mask off, I splash my face with cold water and pat it dry.

This product comes as both a regular and a self preserving product, which means there aren’t any added synthetic preservatives in it! I prefer self preserving products and have the latter. A little less expensive than the Caolion clay mask, these come in two sizes (4.4 oz, $12.95, 11.1 oz, $24.95). You can be purchase it online or at a store near you.
For muslin cloths, check out amazon for great deals. This is the one I purchased.
