April 11: Fornelletto at the Borgata
Recently, I had dinner at Fornelletto at the Borgata in Atlantic City during restaurant week. For $35, we ate a three course meal that was absolutely delicious! Normally very picky about Italian food, I am not easily swayed but this place was really tasty.

Packed for a Sunday night, we sat at the bar, as it had no wait. The service was relatively prompt given the business of the restaurant. Here’s a look at what we ordered:
Appetizer
Whipped ricotta and sweet garlic crostini
9th street Italian market chopped salad | soppressata, taggiasca olives, chick peas, cucumber, tomato, radicchio, pecorino
Main Course
Pachheri | eggplant, tomato, basil, mozzarella di bufala
Chicken parmigiana | San Marzano tomatoes, fiore di latte mozzarella, Parmigiano Reggiano
Dessert
Tiramisu | layers of mascarpone & espresso soaked lady fingers
Chocolate hazelnut mousse | whipped vanilla crema, salted hazelnuts
Every dish was flavorful, the portions were great value for the money. In fact, we took some of it to go! If I’m ever in Atlantic City again, I will definitely pay Fornelleto a second and maybe even a third visit. Many of their dishes are gluten free to accommodate those who need/prefer it.
If you’re ever in AC, be sure to drop by for a bite to eat and let me know what you think.
Happy Eating!
