January 16/17: Fabletics
The only thing that excites me about going to the gym, is fashion. Wearing blasé sweatpants and a random non matching t-shirt gets old real fast. But finding fitness attire that is both cute, good quality and affordable is like looking for a needle in a haystack – pretty painstaking. That is until I discovered Fabletics.
Fabletics is an online athletics brand co-founded by Kate Hudson, Adam Goldenberg, and Don Ressler. It works similar to most online shopping portals – you fill out a quick lifestyle quiz and Fabletics gives you monthly outfit suggestions based on your preferences. In addition, Fabletics also tells you what Kate is loving that month. You can either pick one of the pre selected outfits, or make your own from a variety of tops, bottoms and undergarments. They also have different items on sale each month. If you decide to skip a month, you have to do it by the 5th of the month to avoid the monthly charge of $49.95.
Note: Not all outfits fall in that price range, most are usually higher. However, I've always been able to stay in that budget, but mostly by picking my own pieces to create an outfit.
Your first outfit is $25, so it is definitely worth a try. The quality of the garments are absolutely fantastic! I own four pair of leggings, two tops, two sports bra & a beanie (see below slideshow for some of the items I own). As you can probably tell, I’m a big fan of Fabletics!

Membership cancellations can only be made via phone, bit of an inconvenience for the customer but a great marketing strategy for the brand. More people will opt to “skip” (and inevitably forget, speaking from experience) than pick up the phone and cancel a membership.
