It’s that time of the year — the weather is getting warmer, the beach days are nearing and the dreadful swimwear shopping days are inevitably here. For some, it’s a fun experience and for the rest of us, it’s daunting and feels more like a chore than an experience. I am very picky about my swimwear and have some specific criteria that are either difficult to find or cost and arm and leg when I do find ’em. So generally, it turns out to be a lose-lose experience.

Last week, I went to Macy’s (rather reluctantly and with a very limited time on hand) to find a swimwear I needed for the trip I am currently on (Austin, Texas). I had two simple criteria: one piece and underwire. I tried on 5 swimsuits of which this Lauren Ralph Lauren ruffle one piece (also available on the Ralph Lauren websitewas the first. It might as well have been the last. As soon as I put it on, I knew this one was it, still, I gave the others a shot. Nothing came close to matching the fit and support of the Ralph Lauren swimsuit. It really fit like a glove. For someone who hates swimwear shopping, I was so incredibly happy with this find.

They do run a little big, so I bought a size down. Try on two different sizes to find your best fit. They come in some beautiful bright colors. In fact, I am already thinking of buying a few more for my trip to Bermuda next month. It was also relatively reasonable in price (Macy’s, $89 due to a 25% off sale, but an even better sale is going on at the Ralph Lauren website, $71)
