Almond Milk – and Why You Should Make the Switch

For years, I’ve been hearing about the almond milk phenomena and quietly ignoring it and going about my ways. Often even thinking, “oh people are so dramatic/snobs… just drink milk. sheesh” I know…how terrible of me. Of course, those who are lactose intolerant are an exception, but why does every other person have to rave about the damn thing? its just milk!

Until a few months ago…when for reasons that are blurry right now, I went and bought almond milk. What’s the big deal… does it even taste good? Isn’t it so expensive? I’m perfectly happy with my 1%.

I never do a daily recommendation without having tried the product out for myself. But like all rules, there are exceptions. And while I have not tried out this 15 minute exercise pattern in the order in which suggested, I am done every single one of those exercises and I know they WORK! Daily Recommendation: C25K App

April 21: C25k App

C25K is a running app that gets you from the couch (potato) to running 5K in 8 weeks. I started using the app 9 months ago to get myself to run 5K with ease. You only need to run 3 times a week, begins with 30 minute sessions the first couple of weeks and eventually progresses to 40 minutes, includes a 5 minute warm up and cool down. The promise is to get you to run 5K without the huffing and puffing. Daily Recommendation: Visit a Chiropractor

April 14: Visit a Chiropractor

I have always brushed off the idea of seeing a chiropractor. To me, they were “foo-faa” doctors; I am ashamed to have had such a narrow minded outlook on the subject. However, recently, due to a recommendation from my trainer, I went to see a Chiropractor and if I hadn’t physically been there myself, I wouldn’t believe what I witnessed. He did a “test” on me, not sure what it was called, but it was an assessment of sorts. After which, he did some adjustments and re-did the assessment test. To my amazement and (serious surprise), the problems my body had during the initial assessment did not exist during the follow up test! It was like magic, no, really! I was so impressed that I went back two more times since then and have noticed the aches and pains in my body decline at a very steady pace. Today on Snapchat, a beauty youtube-r mentioned the Plant Nanny app (free on app Store) that was helping her track how much water she was drinking. At first, I dismissed it thinking it was yet another app to stay on top of. But the name made me curious and I checked it out. Verdict: What a cute app!
